Praxeas Technology was founded in August 1997 in Lafayette, Louisiana. We started working with Visual Basic 6.0 and Access Projects. Most of the early work was with Oilfield customers in South Louisiana. We also built desktop and server machines for our customers.
Worked with clients to setup Access databases. In Access 2000, we were excited to work with the full version of VB6 that updated the VBA code of the previous versions. Became proficient with writing queries, detailed forms, and using the compiler option to produce MDE executables for our clients.
SQL 2000 is released along with the Windows 2000 server operation system. We work with several projects to convert Access databases to the exciting new version of the flagship database. We learn to work with ADO objects in Visual Basic (Recordset, Connection, and Stored Procedures). Also worked with Oracle and setup Visual Basic using OleDB and ODBC drivers to connect to Oracle. Eventually took certification training and received the MCSD (Solution Developer) cert with Visual Studio 6.0
Eager to see this released, spent most of the time in 2001-2002 updating our skillset from Visual Basic to the full object oriented Visual Basic .NET and C# Languages. Took training classes on ADO.NET and became proficient with Dataset, DataReader, DataAdapter, and the XmlDocument. Worked on a lot of classic asp projects as well converting ASP to ASP.NET. ASPX was the new architecture for this web development, along with a vb/cs "code-behind" file that compiled into the bin/dll file. Global.asax, Web.Config were all new files that were learned how to properly setup and use in the framework.
Praxeas was approached by Blue Stream Services (New Iberia) to see what we could produce with a spreadsheet containing assets for their clients. We being to develop a soluion with php/MySQL (open source languages) similar to the Microsoft Model (ASP/SQL) which we were able to quickly adapt and we build the Asset Manager, Work Orders, Parts Requisitions, Core Log, Samples, and Runtime sections of the Maintenance Intranet. The early edition of this work was released in late 2003. The software quickly began to pick up users throughout the Gulf of Mexcio.
Earned the MCAD.NET Certification with proficiency in VB.NET, ASP.NET, and XML Web Services and the MCDBA Certification with proficiency in SQL 2000 Server.
Great improvements to the .NET Framework released in 2005, .NET 2.0. We continued to develop Maintenance Intranet specifcally the section for Crranes, BallRing, PullTest, Winches, and WireRope sections. Also built adjust Parts Requisitions, and Core Log to the Crane side of things. Also added Crane Maint and Def to assist with tracking detailed inspections of crane equipment. Started work with PSA (Legisoft project, which was a legislative software which was written in .NET 2.0 and Oracle back-end.
Early versions of LINQ and Entity Framework are released with .NET 3.5. The Maintenance Intranet reaches 4 years in Production, Apache begins to work more closely directly with Praxeas. We begin to get other requests to produce similar solutions, and setup projects for LinearControls using .NET 3.5 and SQL 2008. Maintenace services are running for mutiple clients (XTO, ArenaOffshore, etc)
Released Daily Compressor Reports to track several points of integrity on compressors. Track runtime and setup routine and out of tolerance settings for assets.
Contracted full time with a staff in Lafayette, LA to support all of the Apche fleet of Assets using our software services. Continue to make enhacnments on the original php/MySQL project as well as making new modules with .NET 4, SQL 2012. Work with Sparrows Offshore to setup BBS (Safety) Web based application. Start learning JSON and MVC framework. Contract with NOV to work on DrillWell Project.

Begin Contracting as a Database Admin for IberiaBank in October 2014.
Contract with Apache is converted to Fieldwood Energy. Continue to develop modules as requested, upgrade php/mySQL environment and continue to use the MVC Framework, JavaScript frameworks (Angular, JQuery, Node) in our enchancements. Oifield suffers low prices the contract with Fieldwood is ended in June 2016.
Focus experience and expertise on other industries. Begin working with Tek Systems to provide Consulting, taking on tech interviews for developers and dba for potential candidates. Work on several Senior DBA and Developer projects for clients in US and eventually landing a contract in Jersualem, Israel with PRA Group.
